There is a shortage in supply of the Measles Vaccine as you may have heard on the news. If you have booked an appointment we are unable to guarantee it. We will text or ring you to reschedule if necessary.
Unfortunately, we have no control over how many vaccines we can get and how soon they arrive. We ask that you be patient at this time. We will keep up you updated on the availability of the Measles Vaccine on this website.
Update 20 March, 2019 2.15 pm
We have limited supplies of MMR vaccines currently, and have been informed that we can only vaccinate those in the Priority Groups.
The latest Priority Group order is:-
Priority 1: Children aged 12 months to 13 years who have never been vaccinated
Priority 2: Children and adults aged 14 years to 28 years who have never been vaccinated
Priority 3: Parents/Caregivers of children who cannot be vaccinated, such as the very young or those who cannot have a vaccination.
Priority 4: Continue with the routine immunisation programme (15 months and 4 years)
Priority 5: Occupational groups who have frequent contact with children such as early childhood educators, primary and secondary school teachers; residential care managers, healthcare workers etc., who have never been vaccinated.
We are NOT able to:
- give the 4 year dose early - it is to be given at 4 years of age
- vaccinate anyone over 29 UNLESS they fit into Priority Groups 3 or 5
- vaccinate anyone born before 1969 EVEN IF they fit into Priority Groups 3 or 5
