Doctors
Dr Colin Chin (MBChB, FRNZCGP,Dip Obs, Dip Child Health, Dip Sport M
ed, Dip Musc Med) is one of the co-founders of Doctors on Riccarton. A graduate from the University of Otago, Colin worked in Sydney for 6 years in a variety fields, including Obstetrics, Sports Medicine and General Practice. He moved back to Christchurch in 1997 to set up Practice with his sister, Dr Adrienne Chin. Additional interests include occupational health, minor surgery and travel medicine. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family and trying to keep up with his 3 sons.
Dr Adrienne Chin (MBChB, FRNZCGP, Dip Obs) is also a co-founder of Doctors On Riccarton. A graduate of the University of Otago, she has been working as a GP since 1995. Dr Adrienne Chin’s interests are children’s and women’s health. Providing full maternity care, from conception to delivery of babies, is still one of the services she enjoys most. Outside work she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 boys, cycling and windsurfing.

Dr Lee-Chen Gan (MBChB, Dip Child Health) was born in Malaysia and earned his medical degree in Taiwan in 2005. After graduation, he worked in Taiwan before moving to Christchurch in 2007. He worked in various medical and surgical rotations at Christchruch Hospital before embarking on his GP career in late 2010. He has been with Doctors on Riccarton since the end of 2011. Besides English, Dr Gan speaks Mandarin, Malay and Taiwanese. Dr Gan's favourite pastime is tennis although he finds that hard to fit in around fatherhood.

Dr Caroline Christie (MBChB, Dip Paeds, FRNZCGP) is a graduate from the University of Otago and has been working as a GP since 1997. She has been working in our Practice since April 2012. Dr Christie is also a Clinical Facillitator (health educator) with Pegasus Health. Her 2 children keep her busy when away from work.
Dr Eric Dy (MBBch, BAO) has recently joined Doctors on Riccarton after 6 years of ho
spital based medicine in Christchurch and Dunedin. Prior to coming to Christchurch in 2007 he lived in Cork City, Ireland for 6yrs completing his medical degree at the National University of Ireland, University College Cork and working for a year. Before Ireland, Eric completed a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA and worked for several years in clinical research. Eric is a keen cyclist, skier and tennis player.

Dr Kavita Nathan(MBChB, BSc Genetics (Hons), M.Phil. Molecular Virology) graduated with a medical degree from Aberdeen University, Scotland, in 2005. Prior to that she completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours (majoring in Genetics) and a Masters in Research in Molecular Virology at the University of Liverpool (UK). Kavita has worked in Germany, the UK and NZ. She spent six years in hospital training in the UK where ENT was one of her main specialist interests. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, travelling, exploring the outdoors and films and the arts.
